The World Health Organization recognises climate change as the single largest global threat to public health, and its impacts are already evident. People's health is a foundation for a healthy and prosperous society, and high-quality healthcare and emergency services are vital for securing this.
We are committed to supporting current and emerging public health issues, some of which arise directly from climate change, through relevant services and support of healthcare systems. It is our ambition to advance healthcare while at the same time reducing our climate footprint.

Three Scopes. Full Accountability.
Our greenhouse gas emissions are reported across the three internationally recognised scopes, giving us a complete picture of our climate impact and a clear roadmap for reduction.
Scope 1 — Direct Emissions
Activities owned or controlled by the organisation that release emissions straight into the atmosphere. This includes emissions from equipment, machinery, and vehicles owned or leased by Spark Medical.
Scope 2 — Energy Indirect
Emissions associated with the consumption of purchased electricity, heat, steam, and cooling. These are indirect emissions that are a consequence of the organisation’s activities but occur at sources the business does not own or control.
Scope 3 — Other Indirect
Emissions that are a consequence of business activity which occur at sources not owned or controlled. This includes waste management, business travel, staff commuting, events, and third-party delivery services.
Offsetting Is Not Enough.
Offsetting balances the carbon we cannot yet eliminate — but our focus is on cutting emissions at source. These are the concrete reduction targets driving our sustainability strategy.
